Abstract:
In this research Magnesium aluminate spinel was produced by combustion synthesis at 500 ° C with urea fuel. The properties of the material, Microstructure and properties of photoluminescence were evaluated using XRD, SEM and PL. XRD analysis showed that magnesium aluminate spinel formed at 500 ° C. Through the using of Scherrer equation the crystalline size of the
calcined material was calculated to be about 24 nm. The results of the luminescence spectrum showed that the emission spectrum is at 420 nm. Also, as the excitation wavelength increases, the emission intensity decreases and the appropriate excitation spectrum is 270 nm.
